Boxing Weigh Ins rocked by shooting
One person has been confirmed dead following a shooting at today’s boxing press conference at the Regency Airport Hotel.
MGM in association with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions were hosting a ‘Clash of the Clans’ weigh in at 2pm today.
The fights were scheduled to take place tomorrow night at the National Stadium.
It had all started smoothly with Dublin fighters Jamie Kavanagh, Stephen Ormond and Philip Sutcliffe Jr having completed their weigh in checks without problem.
Not too long after this chaos struck with shots being heard and those in attendance sprinted to safety.
Police and ambulance services were at the scene shortly after.
