BattleZone Fighting Championships Waterford Cancelled

The team at BattleZone Fighting Championships schedule new date for debut WIT Arena show in Waterford.

The decision to move the date for our Waterford show comes as the scheduled IMMAA Team Trials experience a number of dropped fights which BattleZone FC was playing host to.

Matchmaker Dean Wade commented earlier today, ”Unfortunately, what started as fourteen trial fights ended in three, as injuries and unavailability meant that eleven fighters had to withdraw from the selection process.
The remaining IMMAA team Ireland trials will now take place at Cage Ring Championship September 17th at the Wright Venue in Swords.

Alongside our team Ireland trials, our professional main event, Andrew Murphy announced his unavailability due to injury for the September show, so as to accommodate the hometown favourite until he is available to headline we have made the decision to reschedule, commenting earlier today Murphy stated, ”I am obviously gutted to be out of action, I felt this was the perfect time to showcase my skill-set in my hometown, a small setback but the decision to reschedule the show means I can recover properly and look forward to a full training camp in preparation for the next show.”

A new date for our Waterford Arena show will be announced in the coming days.
